Giken ECO1400 S Silent Piler Contractor Services – San Juan, Puerto Rico

Piers 7 & 8 Port Bulkhead Project Using Giken ECO 1400S Silent Piler to Repair Failing Bulkhead Wall in San Juan, Puerto Rico

The Press-In System (using Giken ECO1400 S Silent Piler) was used to install temporary shoring in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Piers 7&8 are part of an urban renewal program to turn the existing piers into a park and themed area for incoming cruise ship passengers. The existing bulkhead wall along Pier 8 had already failed, and Pier 7 was in serious disrepair. The Owner and Designers had concerns about using a Vibratory Hammer due to the poor conditions and concern of causing additional damage. The clay-y soils posed significant problems during installation along Pier 6. All the sheeting was driven to grade without any issues.

    Sheet Piling Borehole Data

Borehole data are direct measurements of temperature from boreholes drilled into the Earth’s crust. In Puerto Rico, you have multiple layers of sand located beneath the Ocean. Every geological area has different Borehole data so it’s important to hire a Giken Silent Piler Port Bulkhead Wall contractor that has the experience you can depend on to understand the earth’s surface. For this ECO1400 S Silent Piler Temporary Shoring project, we piled through 2 layers of the seafloor: Soft-Firm Clay and Dense Clay-ey Sand. We piled Arcelor Mittal AZ46 sheets into the ocean floor at L=55ft. Blue Iron, LLC has the Giken Silent Piler experience you can depend on to finish the job at hand. Whether you are on the West Coast of Puerto Rico or on the Northern Shores of Puerto Rico, Blue Iron, LLC can help.
