The Press-In System (using Giken ECO1400 S Silent Piler) was used to install a permanent steel sheet pile cutoff wall (t-wall) in St. Bernard Parish (New Orleans), Louisiana. Blue Iron Foundations and Shorings were awarded the sheeting for sections 6 and 8 of the LPV148.02 Floodwall project. The overall project is an 8-mile floodwall founded on steel H piles with a steel sheet pile cutoff wall. The small compact footprint of the leader mast was tracked on top of the levee while other systems required a large support crane. Blue Iron was able to double the production from the other piling contractors on site.
